Position Summary

Audinate is seeking an experienced Application Engineer / Technical Support Engineer to join the OEM Support team to provide technical support and advice to AV equipment manufacturers in the EMEA region implementing Dante into their products (i.e. Audinate OEM licensees).

You will become an expert in the Dante manufacturer product range, which includes the Brooklyn II, Ultimo X and Broadway chips and modules, our IP core range solution and soon to be released Dante AV solution. You will own the the resolution of complex technical problems, including debugging, simulations, locating bugs, troubleshooting and reproduction.

Your primary focus will be to help OEM licensees overcome any technical hurdles so that they can implement Dante into their products quickly and effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary contact point for all technical support enquiries originating from OEM licensees in the EMEA region. Day to day activity will require responding to emails and phone calls received from manufacturers
  • Investigate, debug and reproduces issues, provide workarounds where possible and/or escalate issues with the Audinate Engineering team for fixing in a future release
  • Generate technical documentation such as technical notes, whitepapers and FAQs
  • Provide introductory technical training to OEM licensees on Product Development Kits (PDKs)
  • Manage support cases in Salesforce and JIRA and contribute to meeting response, resolution and customer satisfaction KPIs

Other Activities

  • Help streamline the overall support process and workflows, from working with remote team members to dealing with Engineering and Product Management.
  • May be required to attend tradeshows to assist with demonstrations and training
  • May occasionally be required to provide technical advice for presales opportunities


 Successful applicants will have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer / Software / Electrical Engineering or similar discipline
  • 5+ years relevant experience


  •  Strong knowledge of FPGA technology (Spartan 6, Xilinx 7 series FPGA and Zynq)
  • Understanding of FPGA toolchain specifically Xilinx ISE and Vivado Design Suite
  • Strong knowledge of modern Embedded tool flows, methodologies and programming languages (C, Assembly)
  • Understanding of ARM and x86 architectures
  • Understanding of Embedded Linux components, creation and deployment in Embedded Systems.
  • Communication protocols and interfaces such as SPI, UART, I²S and I²C
  • Ethernet & IP network fundamentals (e.g. DHCP, DNS, Subnets, VLANs, Multicast, QoS, etc.)
  • Experience working in a customer-facing and/or field role, with the ability to work on multiple issues at once.
  • Extensive technical problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal


  • Experience working in the Audio / Video industry
  • Understanding of electronics hardware design
