Position Summary

Audinate is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team and manage the delivery of multiple streams of software releases. You will be comfortable working with an agile process, including the integration of QA within the development process. This role requires you to be an intermediary and facilitator between all levels within the business from technical leads through to the leadership team.

Responsibilities:

  • Take responsibility for project management of products, and software releases developed by the company
  • Assume responsibility for aspects of product delivery, following project approval through to the launch and general availability of the release or product
  • Work closely with the product management team to understand the requirements for the product or release
  • Work closely with the engineering team to assist with planning, monitoring progress and taking corrective action as required to ensure projects are delivered as agreed
  • Work closely with the QA team to assist with planning, monitoring progress, and taking corrective actions as required to ensure projects are delivered as agreed
  • Resource planning to ensure successful completion of a project within budgeted time and cost
  • Identify and remove roadblocks that impede progress
  • Maintain awareness and functional knowledge of common project management tools, including JIRA and MS Project
  • Maintain risk schedules, impact assessments, and mitigation plans for each project activity under management
  • Project reporting at functional leader and executive level
  • Work closely with the Engineering Team Scrum Master to assist with the continued adoption and maintenance of Agile development methodologies

Requirements

  • 2 -4 years’ experience working as a project manager in a software development environment
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a developer in any IT field
  • Solid understanding of project management tools, including JIRA and MS Project
  • Track record of successful involvement in the delivery of software products
  • Proven leadership qualities along with strong technical skills
  • Ability to multi-task and context switch in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, yet maintain focus on the most important tasks and responsibilities at hand
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Demonstrated Initiative, Creativity, and problem-solving skills

Qualifications and Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field
  • Certifications in Project Management (PMP®, PRINCE2® etc.), Agile / Scrum management are preferred
