Position Summary

Audinate has just completed the implementation of a new ERP system (Netsuite) in July 2018 and we are in the process of bedding down the implementation, optimizing and designing new processes to fully harness the capabilities of the new system.  We require a junior accountant for a period of up to 6 months to work directly with the Group Financial Controller on a daily basis. 

First hand experience using an ERP system is a key requirement – ideally Netsuite.  Practical knowledge of the month-end process, balance sheet reconciliations, consolidations and external audit would be helpful in this role.

The role will report to the Group Financial Controller and will have regular interaction with the Chief Financial Officer, Director of Operations, Financial Analyst & Assistant Accountant.  We are happy to consider applicants on a 6-month working visa – who are already in Australia.

Remuneration – market daily rate reflective of the successful applicant’s experience (no agencies, please).

Functional Responsibilities​:

The key responsibilities of the Junior Accountant are:    

  • Participate in the month-end process
  • Develop and implement new reconciliations to reflect operation of new ERP
  • Assist in the design of new reports for the month-end process
  • Establish distribution of accounting reports to various business stakeholders
  • Revise documentation of month-end processes
  • Assist with the external audit
  • Assist with the budgeting and forecasting process, including development and implementation of supporting tools.
  • Other ad hoc responsibilities and duties as required from time to time.

Essential Experience

  • Experience using an ERP (accounting) system – ideally Netsuite
  • 2 – 3 years (minimum) of post graduate accounting work history
  • Involvement in month-end processes, reconciliations & consolidation
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good working knowledge of Excel
  • Experience in a rapidly growing and changing global business would be favourably considered
  • Strong bias for action – prepared to roll-up sleeves
  • Tertiary qualifications in accounting
